About Golf Game
It is an outdoor sport in which golfers (competing players) using many types of golf courses/clubs, in this game, attempts to hit balls into the whole on course in lowest number of strokes. It is one of few games that do no use standardized area of playing, rather playing it on golf courses. Almost each golf course has a modern unique design and it typically consist of 9 or 18 holes. In the rules of golf, it is defined as “playing a ball with club from teeing ground into hole by stoke or by successive strokes in the accordance with Rules”.
Rules of game are standardized internationally and are governed jointly by the Ancient Golf Club of St Andrew and Royal, which was found in early 1754 and (USGA) Unites States Golf Association. There are strict rules and regulations regarding to amateur status of players (Golfers). In addition to official printed rules, golf player also bide by set of guidelines called “golf etiquette”. Guidelines of Etiquette covers matters such as, fairness, safety, easiness and pace of play, where obligation of players to contribute to care of course. Generally, golf competition is played fro lowest number of strokes by each and every individual, simply known as stroke play. |
