Golf Club Course
A Golf course consists of teeing grounds (like a green law) having series of holes, fairway, hazards, rough and green with a pin (flagstick) and cup, all these are designed especially to play the golf. Each standard round of gold consists of 18 holes, so the most of course have this number. However some only have 9 holes and course is played two times as per round. For the non-municipal courses, usually there is a golf club that is based at each course. First section of every hole consists of teeing ground, or called tee-box. Usually, there is more than one box available for player to place their balls, with different distance from hole.
The common tee-boxes have junior tee, senior tee and closer to hole than ladies tee, between ladies tee and men's tee. Usually stroke is played on green with putter where ball does not leave ground. Ball is putted toward the whole once on green till the ball falls into cup. Grass of putting green is cut shortly, so the ball can also roll distances of yards. The growth direction of blades of grass can affects on the roll of ball that is called grain of green. Cup usually has a flag on pole positioned in it that can be seen from distance. |
